Cemal Koray Bingol

Cemal Koray Bingöl is an Istanbul-based architect whose research is focused on computational design technologies through computer programming and electronics. He finished his study at Computer-Aided Architectural Design Master’s Programme at Yildiz Technical University after he got his bachelor of architecture degree from Istanbul Technical University. The main subject in his master’s thesis is simulating urban sprawl, which he went on an exchange program to TU Eindhoven to study urban design for 6 months. He has been teaching at Istanbul Bilgi University since 2013 and giving lectures in various universities on ‘computational design’. Meanwhile, he has been collaborating with various design offices, academics and institutes under Epitome {collaborative network}, which he co-founded in 2013.
